Can't play WAV-DTS

Postby yanivber » Thu May 06, 2010 11:07 am

Hi

I'm trying to play WAV-DTS and all I hear is static noise.
My receiver shows the input sound as 2 channels when it is actually 6 channels DTS.

Thanks,
Yaniv

can you provide more details - type of connection to receiver (optical, hdmi...), file extension (*.dts or *.wav), etc....if *.wav, try renaming to *.dts

Check your audio settings in setup menu - try DTS SPDIF RAW if DTS PCM not working.

The file is a .wav file.
I tried changing it to .dts and it still output static sound.
I even tried deleting the first 44 bytes in a hex editor (read about it somewhere), didn't work as well.

The streamer is connected to the receiver via hdmi and both RAW and PCM didn't work.

I tried playing the same file on an Xtreamer streamer and it worked fine.

Anyone has any idea about this problem?
Does these file types work for anyone?
