New Firmware v1.24

Can anyone tell us what this firmware release actually does?

New firmwares always come up in the Internet Upgrade screen (I check it once a week), and it usually takes a few days before they're announced here.

I'll take a chance and do the upgrade, even though I don't know what effect it will have.

Has anyone done the 1.24 firmware upgrade? Do we have any details on what it addresses?

I prefer to do USB updates, is there a link to download the file?

I can't get this firmware to install via Internet Update. It downloads, installs, reboots, then tells me I still have 1.23 installed.

It looks like nobody else can get it to work either:

Same thing happened for me. However, I noticed a new transparent popup menu when you press the audio track / subtitles buttons during playback - lets you see & set all parameters for audio/subs/lipsync and screen output size...so despite still showing an old f/w version, something changed. I don't recall having seen this before, so I imagine it's part of this new f/w. As for what else is fixed, I'm as much in the dark as you....

Has anyone been able to update the firmware to this version? I've tried the internet update and it appears to fail as the version does not change from 1.23

BTW the audio track / subtitles button displays that menu in 1.23, I checked before attempting the update.

I'm Having the same problems. If I actually do have 01.24 installed, it is not showing as such. Still showing as 1.23
Has anyone got answers to what is happening yet? Every firmware update improves the functionality of this device, so if there is a 1.24 out there (as shown by web update) then I would love to get my hands on it.

same problem here... not really sure what to make of it. the main support site seems to only have 1.16 FW. maybe someone would update the site?

to be honest, we havent heard from mediagate in months. And I wouldnt advise upgrading to their latest firmware due to no support. Im sticking with the older firmware, in particular the 3/30/09 for mkv playing.

I've noticed the availability of 1.24 via internet update and tried it. It was very slow, but eventually downloaded and installed via Internet update. The version still shows 1.23 after the update. Whats going on with this product? It has been an expensive show piece in my entertainment center. I was so upbeat on MediaGate while purchasing. This is a total disappointment. Hard earned $399 is no fun. Dear product management and engineers, please do the needful. A sincere request. This is not only about the firmware 1.24, but overall product. It has been just a fight and hope situation since I've purchased this product with no satisfaction or experience. The picture freezes, the hard drive is not recognized. Each time I switch on the device, I have this doubt factor in mind of whether it will work or not. Its just lying there... Its a shame.

Support was great...but it looks like support at mediagate is dead...

I want to know if there's someone that was able to download the 1.24 and to make it work?
